Kaiju No. 9 divides into two bodies, forcing the First Division into battles on multiple fronts. While Narumi confronts one of the evolving threats, Kafka and Kikoru struggle against the other, and Kafka faces a frightening new problem when he suddenly finds himself unable to transform.
