Dead End is a six-part crime drama based on true events. It tells the story of the hostage tragedy of August 1986 — the day that stopped all of Finland and forever changed police tactics.
Episode 2
The hostage-taker demands 2.5 million and a getaway car—or he'll blow up the bank. The police try to buy time, but every plan fails.
Episode 3
The hostage situation moves onto the road, and the police don't know how to respond. When the car runs low on fuel, the SWAT team sees a risky chance to end it.
Episode 4
The Chase toward the town of Mikkeli continues as the tension builds. The SWAT team prepares for one last attempt to stop the man before he reaches the city.
Episode 5
The convoy arrives in Mikkeli's market square, where the unaware crowd stands in the blast zone. Johanna uncovers a vital clue that could reveal the hostage-taker's identity.
Episode 6
Police leadership allows the car to continue its route from Mikkeli square—but tensions erupt. As the hostage-taker loses control, both sides face life-or-death choices.
